We feel lucky to have over 250 retail partners across the country and beyond. In this new series, we’ll be sharing photos and more information about some of our favorite stockists! This week’s feature is Schoolhouse Electric, a store in Portland, Oregon that along with carrying brands like ours, manufactures their own line of US-made homewares.
Brian Faherty founded Schoolhouse Electric in 2013 with the mission of preserving American manufacturing thoughtful living and purposeful design. Their HQ is located in Portland, Oregon in a 115-year-old warehouse turned factory and retail space.
Just like us, their brand is focused on making their products in the US. What’s most impressive to us is that they’re able to house their entire operation in this one building: prototyping, manufacturing, design, warehouse, fulfillment, marketing, finance, HR, and their storefront.
Schoolhouse’s line includes lighting, furniture, fans, and home accessories. We’re thrilled that alongside their iconic collection, they also stock our Perpetual Calendar year-round. Besides our aligned design ethos, our tastes and styles are quite complimentary, as seen with our Calendar styled below alongside their Morris Sconce and Brake Angle Picture Ledges (both in Brass).
Next time you’re in Portland, stop in and take a look! They also have a second retail location in Pittsburgh, for any East Coast readers. And of course, they’re available to shop online here as well. Schoolhouse Electric is truly a heritage brand, and we feel so lucky to have our Perpetual Calendar in their lineup!
